About Us
Saveetha College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is a well-regarded constituent of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences has been established with an objective to craft the "World's Best" in the Arts and Sciences discipline. The institution aims to build a lively and comprehensive learning community in a culture of excellence consistently by a great value system that promotes responsible citizens with effective human values.
Today, the college offers various undergraduate programmes in liberal arts and sciences. The college has excellent infrastructure integrated with eminent Research Team, Clubs and other extra-curricular groups that offer students a wide range of opportunities to learn and excel. These activities add up to make the campus vibrant for developing one’s personality and values.

OUR FOUNDER - CHANCELLOR
Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, Chancellor SIMATS, began his journey in education with an ambition to start a model dental college. He started Saveetha Dental College & Hospital in Chennai in 1988 and subsequently College of Nursing in 1992, College of Physiotherapy in 1993 and College of Occupational Therapy in 1998. His service to the cause of education was extended to other fields by establishment of Saveetha Engineering College in 2001. SAVEETHA was declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 in 2005. In the year 2006, Saveetha School of Engineering was established followed by Medical College & Hospital in 2008. In the consecutive year, Saveetha School of Law was started. In 2017, College of Occupational Therapy & School of Physical Education were started. Saveetha college of Architecture & Design & College of Pharmacy were established in the year 2019. SIMATS is happy to launch SAVEETHA COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS & SCIENCES in 2020.
